38 RASSEGNA NEUES BAUEN IN DER WELT RUSSLAND by El Lissitzky AMERIKA by Richard Neutra FRANKREICH by Roger Ginzburger Vittorio Gregotti (editor)
Vittorio Gregotti: 38 RASSEGNA [NEUES BAUEN IN DER WELT]. Bologna: Editrice C.I.P.I.A. s.r.l. , 1989. First edition (anno 11, 38/2). Text in Italian. A fine softcover book in fine, stiff french-folded wrappers. Interior unmarked and very clean. Out-of-print.
9 x 12 softcover book with 90 pages devoted to reprinting excerpts from the three-volume series New Building in the World: RUSSIA by El Lissitzky, AMERICA by Richard Neutra and FRANCE by Roger Ginzburger.
Also included several introductory essays on avant-garde architecture periodicals of the 1920s. Excerpts from the 1930 Verlag Anton Schroll Neues Bauen in der Welt series make upthe majority of this edition, with 147 color and b/w plates reprinting pages and content from the series along with relevant auxiliary source materials. Very cool indeed-- if you can read Italian.
Under the loose directorship of Vittorio Gregotti, RASSEGNA is an Italian Design magazine underwritten by six Italian firms: Ariston, B&B Italia, Castelli, iGuzzini illuminazione, Molteni and co., and Sabiem. Each issue is devoted to a single designer or theme and is lavishly produced, with high-quality reproduction and carefully selected and presented illustrations. Every issue ofthis stellar publication gets my highest recommendation for both form and content.
