PLASTICS IN INTERIOR DECORATION KUNSSTOFFE IM RAUM LES MATIERES PLASTIQUES DANS L'INTERIEUR Emil Jakubowski and Felix Nitsch
Emil Jakubowski and Felix Nitsch: PLASTICS IN INTERIOR DECORATION| KUNSSTOFFE IM RAUM|LES MATIERES PLASTIQUES DANS L'INTERIEUR. Munich: Verlag Georg D. W. Callwey, 1958. First edition. Text in German. Table of Contents in German, French, and English. A very good hardcover book without a dustjacket: buckram cover discolored along the fore edges, spine slightly loose. Interior unmarked and clean with some understandable yellowing. Way out-of-print.
8.5 x 12 hardcover book with 274 pages with approx. 30 color illustrations, approx. 375 b/w illustrations, and numerous b/w text illustrations. I've got one word for you ....
Without knowing German and even with the numerous technical text illustrations, this book is an inspiration. The photographed floor patterns, wall mosaics, and interiors edge toward art and are especially timely given that linoleum is an environmentally sound material.
Stained concrete? Forget it -- check into the lost art of linoleum.
