Marquandt & Company Fine Papers: DESIGN AND PAPER. NYC: Marquandt & Company Fine Papers, n.d. (1930s-1940s). A set of nine different issues of Marquandt's DESIGN AND PAPER series of paper promotional booklets. Each issue measures 4.75 x 7.75 and contains approx. 20 pages of editorial and design content, all specifically to promote the various lines of Marquandt papers. The design and printing of each issue mee tthe highest production standards of the day.
This nine-issue incomplete set includes:
DESIGN AND PAPER NUMBER 1: A 16-page fine softcover booklet with tied binding and uncoated deckled edges. Spotlights printers marks by T. M. Cleland, W. A. Dwiggins, Theodore Brown Hapgood, Harvey Hopkins Dunn, Frederick Goudy and Raymond Lufkin.
DESIGN AND PAPER NUMBER 3: A 16-page fine softcover booklet with tied binding and uncoated deckled edges. Spotlights typography, printers marks and title pages by Bruce Rogers, Philip Van Doren Stern, Rowland Ellis, Peter Bielenson, Walter Dorwin Teague and Raymond Lufkin.

DESIGN AND PAPER NUMBER 22 [1946]: A fine 24-page fine softcover booklet saddle-stitched with uncoated covers. Spotlights the collaboration between the Mutual Broadcasting Network's Arnold Roston and Robert Schmid.
DESIGN AND PAPER NUMBER 25 [1946]: A fine 28-page fine softcover booklet saddle-stitched with coated covers. Subtitled: THE ART DIRECTOR'S CLUB... A QUARTER-CENTURY RECORD, this issue spotlights the Award winner of the annual Art Director's Club of New York City from 1921 to 1946. includes work by J. C.
