Perfect binding is square and tight. An extraordinary copy of an easily abused volume. Interior unmarked and very clean. Out-of-print and very rare.

8.25 x 8.25 softcover book with 218 pages, 6 fold-outs and 63 vivid color and 30 b/w photographs and illustrations. Photography and Art Direction by Centrokappa. All items are identified by name, number, designer, materials and color choices. I suspect this information might be useful to somebody out there.

In the 1950s, Kartell began in the field of automotive accessories, but soon switched to the burgeoning field of plastics. Their subsequent growth paralleled the growth of Italian-Milanese design. By the 1970s, the higher cost of plastics caused Kartell to emphasize design and image quality, a successful gambit. Kartell continues to make their mark in industrial design to this day.
