Smith. Each designer presents a letterhead sample and their individual processes that led to the final, printed solution. With short, illustrated bios.

"The eight men, whose work appears on the following pages are widely regarded as being among the greatest contemporary American Designers. While they do not limit themselves to the design of letterheads, they regularly face the problem of creating "81/2 x 11 personalities" for great American companies."
